Transparent fabrics from the Hiraoka range have the highest level of light transmission available. They permit very high levels of natural light into a structure while filtering out harmful UV rays. These transparent membranes can also be combined with the more traditional white fabrics in the same structure.
Hiraokas semi-transparent fabrics provide a unique combination of high tensile strength and light transmission. They provide excellent lighting to the interior of a structure . At night, when illuminated from within they become an architectural feature of the structure. These fabrics can be combined with the standard white fabrics in our translucent range to create unique designs and as they use the same base cloth they exhibit the same biaxial behaviour.
In applications were less light is required Hiraoka’s range of translucent fabrics, typically white, offer a high quality solution. Light transmission will vary depending on the grade of fabric selected.
Blockout or opaque fabrics block light transmission and are used in applications where reduced glare or control of light conditions is required. A black film is contained within the fabric to cutoff the light.
