Ultramax – Ultra Flexible

Outstanding Dirt Resistance and Flexibility

Ultramax is an architectural fabric manufactured using a base fabric woven from spun yarn as opposed to filament yarn. It is the spun yarn which ensures that this fabric has outstanding resistance to repeated and continual movement. When using spun yarn the surface becomes three-dimensional allowing the PVC resin coating to interlock with the base fabric resulting in superior flex. Alternatively when a filament yarn is used for the base fabric the surface is flat therefore only a two – dimensional bonding with the PVC occurs resulting in an inferior flex strength.

A special fluorine lacquer has been added to the top surface of Ultramax to provide a superior long term dirt resistance surface which is easily cleaned.

Glass Series – G3000S & G3500

Hiraoka’s GLASS series G-3000S and G-3500 are manufactured from a PVC  coated with a fibre glass base cloth.  G-3000S has a PVDF  lacquer top coat and      G-3500 has a fluorine lacquer top surface, both of these treatments allowing for ease of cleaning and improved weathering resistance.  The glass fibre base cloth offers several key advantages, including non-combustibility, high strength and low stretch. Both fabrics have excellent strength to weight ratio.

Sound Shutter

Sound Shutter is a PVC coated fabric used in applications were sound insulation is a requirement. The noise reduction effect is 16dB for Sound Shutter KN-1000 to 25dB for Sound Shutter KN-3000 at bandwidth 1000Hz. Typical applications where Sound Shutter is used are building & construction sites, demolition works, insulation and partitioning at factories

Fabweave – Covers & Sport Fabric

Fabweave is a very durable PVC coated fabric suitable for a range of medium duty applications such as tarpaulins, covers and sport & leisure equipment. It utilises a special spun yarn in the base cloth to give excellent flexibility and ease of handling.

The matte finish combined with the textured surface provides an anti-slip surface which is desirable in many applications such as gym mats and crash pads.
